  1. garmisch is very small, not much but skiing to do there unless you venture out to the surrounding areas

  2. Shopping is good, hiking is awesome too.  It'll be cold then.  Oh also they have a couple of lakes that are nice for picnics...

  3. Rafting in November could be a problem.  I have been to Garmisch a few times, and I really wasn't THAT impressed.  The skiing was nothing special (Zugspitze, Germany's highest mountain).  My recommondation:  jump in a car and drive to a cool Austrian ski area.  They are not far away (2 hours MAX.) and you have a large selection of winter sports.  If you're looking into doing some partying , check out St. Anton or Ischgl.  LOTS of fun and the skiing's good too.

Alternative:  drive/take the train to Munich.  1 hour away.

  4. stroll around the city and have some "Torte" in one of these lovely cafes

go to "Peaches"for some cocktails in the evening

  5. White water rafting, rock climbing, biking, drinking, sight seeing. I was there 3 or four times while in Germany, awesome, beautiful town!
