  1. Hear Hear Neil!

Avoid all the Beatles nostalgia c**p and you'll have a good time doing whatever you want.

We have nationally reputed art galleries with lots of famous paintings (Walker, Tate, Sudley, Lady Lever) more museums than you can shake a stick at (though sadly these are being increasingly turned into "interactive" playgrounds for toddlers) 'Western Approaches' (from which the Battle of the Atlantic was fought) lots of restaurants, and quite a few decent pubs are managing to stagger on despite the smoking ban - see them before they close forever and get turned into speculative flats!

  2. Major new shopping experience opposite the liver buildings!! :)

  3. Look at:

St. Georges Hall. Opposite Lime St station

    The Walker Art Gallery

The Pierhead Group. Best seen from on the Mersey Ferry

    The Albert Dock

Walk round Sefton Park. look into the Palm House

    Visit both cathedrals

Have a drink in The Philharmonic pub

Avoid The Cavern Club. It's not authentic. The original was demolished in I think the '70s. Great timing, Liverpool!

  4. Take a Ferry Boat ride across the River Mersey

Visit the Albert Dock and its museums

Lots of pubs and clubs to enjoy

Massive Shopping centre to have a walk around

Visit Mathew Street, where the Beatles started.

  5. The Yellow Duck, which takes you on a tour of Liverpool then splashes down in the Mersey,

It's a World War 2 bus that they have painted Yellow, hence the name, that can be driven on land & then can go into the water, great fun.

  6. stay on the train!

  7. The Beatles experience, then the first train out. M.

  8. Have a look at what users of the Enjoy England Website have said about their 'Best day out' in Liverpool -

Or take a look at the day trip finder, all results are within 3 miles of Liverpool -

  10. I can not better David f Above all you will find most people out to genuinely help you if you have a problem. Take no more and no less care than in any big city. hope you enjoy yourself
