  1. The V&A have some amazing exhibitons and it's beautiful inside.

  2. I went to London about 10 years ago.... Like everyone keeps saying, there is lots of stuff to do....  Also you can get just about anywhere using "the tube" (Subway) so no worry about transportation....  A 1 week ticket to go on and off as often as you like was relatively inexpensive....  I can't remember how much, and I'm sure the exchange rates have changed anyway....  I went with my school so much of it was already paid for, but I noticed that what would cost $1 in the US would cost about a pound in London, so in that respect it seemed equal, but when you counter in the exchange rates it's much more expensive, cuz you lose money on the exchange...

Anyways, places to see:  London Bridge (Tower of London), Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Windsor Castle, ummmm.....  Hyde Park (we stayed right across the street from there, but it is humongous)....  um, oh definitely hit the museums....  THere was a british history museum, oh and you HAVE  to see the madam tusad's wax museum...  I know I'm spelling that wrong but that is a definite must-see.... sad thing is I live about an 1 1/2 hour from NYC and I've never been to that one....

Also Harrod's but that is like a day in itself.  I almost missed my bus back cuz I got soo lost in there, we were supossed to stay with our partners but that was way before any of us had cell phones, and I lost my partner w/in the first 1/2 hr. and I never saw anyone else again.  It is no doubt like 10 blocks long, like 10 floors....  You WILL get lost, so make sure you bring cell phones and have a meeting time/place.

I think that's about it that I can think of right now.  I don't know how long you'll be there for, and that would make a difference of what you want to see or not see, but that's the general idea....

    also don't forget your umbrella!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Check out the pubs...

  4. see the big ben and the big monument known as the "eye"

its like a ferris wheel that's a little room, and it takes you up in the air to look over the city.

And bring some money for serious shoppin! :D

  5. so many options!  I'd at least go one or two Museums (again, so many options!)

I'd also suggest Geo-caching just to explore the city.

  6. London bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down......

  7. tacky tourist sights of course!! ben ben and such...GOOD shopping

  8. go to the london eye or big ben you could evengo to the science museum

  9. I have a ton of suggestions. I was there in 2002. I went for school and had to do a lot of travel to museums and cathedrals. It is an amazing experience if you get a travel card for the Tube. It depends on what you are going there for to visit? If it is for fun then go to the London Eye(the huge Ferris wheel), Cheers Pub, Covent Garden shopping area, Camden Market, go see a play (Avenue Q is really great) or enjoy a night out at Leicester Circle area.

If you are going with adults who enjoy museums then go to the Cabinet War Rooms. It is by far the best place I have ever visited in England. It is very informative and interesting. I couldn't believe more people didn't go there. I loved it!

Also...go to Westminster Abbey and St. Paul's Cathedral. They are a must see. I liked the Tower of London too, but if you don't have a lot of time you could always go to the National Portrait Gallery or The Tate Modern. Those are great art museums.

Check out wikitravel for good suggestions and maps...it is an informative website. Also, don't forget that the pubs close early. Enjoy your stay!

  10. GO EVERYWHERE IT AN AWESOME PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. Go trace around every place ever mentioned in books like the Da VInci Code and Harry Potter.

You can go to King's Cross Station, Temple Church...

Just make sure you go to the tower of London. It was awesome. And Westminster Abbey.

  12. Westminster Hall is breathtaking and a must see. Harrods is really cool to go see even if you aren't planning on shopping. A dinner place called Sticky Fingers is really nice, trendy but quiet and affordable. The Tower of London is another typical place to go visit. You can go into the eye and i think that takes like 30 minutes and you can see all of london, i bet your mother would appriciate that.
