What to do in NY for a day?

Question

My friend and I have been there serveral time already......We have done all the tourist things, we want to be local. Where can go? We are only going to be there 9/9 one day , and it was a gift from her parents both our tickets so we can't change the flight. Any ideas? I have never been anywhere out side of Manhattan

u could go to the museums, central park, china town.

Try to see a show, go shopping,or go out to eat somewhere nice.  Don't go to New Jersey, I live here and go to New York all the time, and New Jersey is boring.
