  1. north of italy is the best!!!!

    milan or verbania

  2. OMG there are so many beautiful things to see! I am from napoli and I visit at least once a year.

SORRENTO. Visit Sorrento it has beautiful views and also is a great shopping area.

POMPEI. Visiting Pompei is a must, it is a site of volcanic ruins. It has so much history to Napoli.

CAPRI. Take the ferry ride to Capri. Capri is an unforgettable experience. The isle is simply heaven with great restaurants, grottos, beaches and shopping too. Capri almost reminds you of "never never land" in peter pans movie. It is also very romantic.

AMALFI COAST. I've drove the whole Amalfi coast. It is breathtaking . You drive on tiny mountain roads right up high along the sea. Everywhere you drive you see the beautiful water. They offer tours in napoli. If you get car sick I won't recommend driving it. Along the coastline roads you will encounter restaurants, stores, and even fruit stands where they sell Limoncello and the biggest lemons you have ever seen.

VESUVIO. Mount Vesuvius is a volcano right in Napoli. It is the only active volcano on the mainland of Europe. It is famous for the eruption in 79AD which buried the towns of Herculaneum and Pompeii. You can hike it up and get amazing photos.

ROME. If you want to get out of Napoli you can always take the train to Roma. The train ride is a little under 3 hours. It is possible to finish the Roma attractions (Fountain of Trevi, Spanish steps, Vatican, St. Peters, etc) in one day if you arrive early

PAESTUM. It is an archeological site involving the Greek civilization in the whole of italy. It is located approx. 100 kilometers South of Napoli in the district of Capaccio. The ancient city was founded around 600 B.C. by the Greeks

and fell under the Roman Empire. The site consists of temples like the Temple of Neptune.

ISCHIA. It is a volcanic island lying off the Gulf of Napoli in the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is the biggest Island in the Gulf of Napoli. I have never been to the isle of Ischia but I have heard people say it is as beautiful as Capri. You can catch a ferry ride from Napoli to Ischia. There are many thermas, spa, restaurants and shopping areas. It is one the places I definitely will be visiting on my next trip to Napoli.

There are many more attractions such as churches, museums, sanctuaries, etc. These are the ones I think every first visitor to Napoli should experience to leave a lasting memory.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

I hope you enjoy your trip.
