What to do in Sturbridge, Massachusetts?

Question

Myself and my partner are taking a trip to Sturbridge, Massachusetts for a week in mid October. Can anyone suggest any good sights or activities we should see/take part in whilst there? We have a hire car so are willing to travel!

there is not much  there other than a few quaint shops and Old Sturbridge Villaige

old sturbridge village is fun for a bit. If you want to feel great about where you live, head down to southbridge to see how well off you are compared to them (my grammy lives there), travel the hour to concord/lexington to see the historical sights, boston for the science museum and great shopping, for some quality food go to Rom's in southbridge (closed mondays) it looks kinda bad but the food is GREAT! I forget which bbut either tuesday or wednesday is buffet night. thats about as well as i can do. Have fun!
