What to do in Sydney & Brisbane?

I have a short visit visit to Sydney & Brisbane , it is winter..what can i and my wife do in this short trip ? we have place to stay, just 3 days in Sydney & 4 days is brisbane...any must see places ? which we should not miss..

Sydney is a must to just wander around the harbour to the opera house and take a commuter ferry to Manly or up to Broadmeadows The commuter ferries are much cheaper than a tourist trip to see the same thing but without a running commentary. Take a trip to Bondi beach

Can you hire a car in Brisbane. If not take the train to Helensvale station and the bus to theGold Coast beaches . Takes about an hour. Hop of the bus near charis fish and chip shop grand hotel and wander down and along Marine parade. It's really beautiful . also you can jump on another bus to Surfers or Broad beach . if you want to go shopping the bus stops at harbour Town on the way down to Charis fish and chip  place  Harbour town is only about 5 mins on the bus Charisis in labrador about 10 minutes but surfers another 15 mins or so as it calls into Australia fair. In Brisbane a wander along South Bank . You should be able to pick up many leaflets from your accomodation with lots of ideas.

In Sydney definitely try to go to the Opera House one night. You could also do the bridge climb- they have people that takes teams up the Sydney Harbour Bridge and it's really amazing. I'd also recommend going to Darling Harbour, and have dinner at the Centrepoint. It's the tallest point (I think) in Sydney and a rotating restaurant- so cool. Or actually The Summit is another great place- maybe better than Centrepoint. There might be some days when the weather is warm so you could go to the beach.

Brisbane- I'm not as familiar with this city, but I believe Steve Irwin's zoo is not far, or if you have time, do a day trip to Byron Bay! That place is the BEST :) Safe travels!
