What to do in a fast food restaurant/burger place when it isn't busy?

I am new to a job, and sometimes I have to leave early when it is slow.

Basically, when we don't have many customers, we wash tables, bus tables, check up on guests, wash windows, clean bathrooms, empty trash, etc.

What else can I do to prove that I am a hard worker and keep myself from having to go home early? I need to show that I work hard so I get more hours, not less.

There is always something to do, try stocking- lids, cups, sauces, ice cream toppings, burger boxes, ice. Ask to sweep the lot or make sure all cardboard boxes is broken down.  Make sure there is no dishes. Make sure everything is prepared for the next rush ( do you need to wash service trays?) or changeover, is lunch prep done? Otherwise i would do twhat the other people have posted, and ask someone there if they want to leave early.

well i look for very clean bathrooms.That is the number 1 thing. Decent food is another thing i look 4.

i like it when the people who work there, come and ask how the food is and if there is any thing that they can get me and how my day is.i bet a lot of people would like that.

clean up after the custormers. when it looks like they are done clean up after them. They love it when they can just leave and dont have to throw anything away.

mop the floors clean the restrooms if you can sort any of the items that yall have in stock clean the parking lot . just stay busy

Ask for the DEEP CLEANING LIST. (clean refrigerators,walls or what ever  they deep clean on a weekly basis)Also,tell your co-workers if they need an extra day off for anything ,that you are in need of some more hours. A lot of times people (especially in summertime want to have extra days off to do things.) also tell your boss,that ,if anyone calls in ,that you would like for her to call you& let her know as well that if anyone needs time off,that you are available. You can get a lot of extra time in this manner.And also,alot of times there are other people that would like to gwt off early. Ask around & if they do,you can stay & they can go.(if your boss lets you,they usually don't care who goes home first,as long as somone goes(to save them money)

Hello, well when were quiet I wipe tables, sweep floors, clean windows, make sure all the trays are cleaned and put away, restock... lids, cups, bags, kids toys, cutelry, napkins, straws, and wipe everywhere and once all that is done I walk around with a cloth wiping stuff so that I always lok busy... and talk to your boss about getting some extra shifts so that he knows how motivated you aree and what a good worker you are
