dial up connections are the slowest of all internet connections. if your main purpose for web surfing is pure info gathering then it'll do well, with it's very average speed of corse. with that kind of speed, it's sometimes hard to load specially large numbers of pictures, and even flash animations. you can try to disable loading misc stuffs by adjusting your browser's settings.

seriously...you should change to dsl at least because newer web sites and upgrades and updates to old websites these days contain materials that needs fast connection speed :)

oh don't worry, i also started with dial up connection. and switching to dsl is really great :)
