What to do in first day?

i'm always nervous when the first day in scool comes..specially now that i've been transferred to another section, and i hate those "surprise" recitation..please help me ...

You have to do good..first impression last...Recitations, quizzes etc. are part of being a student. Those things spice up your life as a student. It's a practice in preparation of going up to the next level like going to college and looking for a job someday...Be open minded and flexible enough to every challege and changes you might encounter.

Being nervous in new situations is normal.  Don't worry.

Best thing to do is not make yourself too conspicuous until you get the feel of the new situation, and learn what to expect.

If your teacher calls on you to "recite", thank the teacher for calling on you, and use that opportunity to introduce yourself, if you have not already.   Answer what you can, and if not prepared, explain to everyone that you haven't had enough time to prepare yet.  Honestly announce that you are a little shy now, and having trouble expressing yourself.

Later, if your instructor was not happy with that, and I don't know why he/she would not understand, you could talk to him/her privately  to explain your apprehension in new situations.

Remember too, you are not the only student who has those feelings.  Others will probably come up to you later to express their understanding, and appreciation for you being truthful.

IMO, teachers should not ask students to do  "surprise" recitations, until students are comfortable and are prepared.  This is why normally there are rules established for such periods, like be respectful, do not laugh, be accepting of others mistakes, ect.

Since you are expecting to be "surprised", BE PREPARED,  with what I've suggested.

Hope this helps you to "recite".  Perhaps you then could surprise the teacher, when prepared.
