What to do in leitrim town??????

going for a couple of days for the craic, already have a boat organised, any local knowledge a big help cheers

did you know leitrim has the lowest population in europe!

go to Carrick-on-Shannon, which is only 5 miles away.the locals are friendly, theres fantastic restaurants,theres a cinema, theres a sport centre, theres shops, theres the moon-river cruiser,theres an arts centre and theres a bowling alley.if you are a woman, check out crescendo.if you are a tourist, check out leitrim crystal.

Leitrim town is really only a village, theres really nothing in it. Carrick on Shannon is only 5miles down the road, loads to do, plenty of pubs, shops and a beautiful marina.

The fact that you have a boat will make it a lot more interesting and no doubt you'll have great craic, just dont go looking for anything exciting in Leitrim town/village, its tiny. (lovely scenery though)

I agree with the first answerer.  Until a few years ago there was next to nothing in Leitrim village.  Now there is still next to nothing plus a load of new holiday homes.  The local pubs are grand if you want a pint but I'd recomend going on to Carrick-on-Shannon for days and nights out.  There are other marinas along the Shannon - just depends how long you plan to be there for.  Check out the moon river boat that goes out along the river from Carrick on Shannon at night - has a bar and small dance floor on board.  Always good craic !
