  1. Duty-free shops in the airport! Will you pick me up a louis vutton?

I'm not sure how long it takes to get to the eiffel tower, but just make sure you get back in time to go through security again for your second flight.

    Have fun!

  2. Well, you can visit famous historical landmarks. This is my opinion. Or you can shop.......

  3. the Charles de Gaulle airport and the Roissy airport are far from Paris. You can take the RER into Paris and get of at Gare de Lyon it is close to the Republique square there are nice shops and nice quarters. Otherwise visit from the Gare du Nord or Gare de l'Est, this area of Paris is more immigrant and popular. Paris is huge so ther's no time for real visiting although a stroll around the railway station will be very pleasant and enough to feel the rich culture en atmosphere of our capital.

    From Lyon France, Darwin.

    good luck

  4. GREAT! Head downtown and see the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre. You have a great chance to see 2 of the most interesting and important sites in the world.

  5. Since CDG airport is far from Paris, I think you cannot spend more than 3/4 hours in Paris. Then you have just enough time to visit Eiffel Tower and Champs Elysées (Shopping).

Plan your journey with www.ratp.fr (English version available).

    Have fun.

  6. you may not be able to check out of the airport,so be prepared

  7. I was there last month.  It took us about 40 minutes to get from the airport to the center of Paris where we were staying (just near Notre Dam).  I'm over cautious so if I were you I'd give myself an hour each way... that's two hours... and then another hour to get back through security... that's three hours.  It gives you five hours in the city.  Don't do anything you have to wait on line for.  Head for Pont Neuf (the bridge), go downstairs to the quay and take a one hour boat ride along the Seine.  You'll see a lot of the major sites that way.  Then just stop at a cafe near Notre Dam and just have a coffee and watch the people go by.

Of course you don't say if your 8 hours are at night or during the day.  If it's at night and not too late, you can still take the boatride on the Seine.  You'll get to see all the monuments lit up which is beautiful.

    Enjoy.
