  1. In 4 days you will be able to hit all of the big attractions and still be able to have nice, French dinners.  I lead student groups and these are the sites that we see in four days.

    The Eiffle Tower

    Bateaux Mouche river boat rides

    The Pantheon

Louvre (Get here and get in line before it opens to make sure you don't wait forever in line.)

The Tuillerie Gardens (in front of the Louvre)

Musée D’Orsay (Again, I would get here before it opens to ensure not waiting in line forever)

Bertillion (Best ice cream ever.  About 1/2 mile behind Notre Dame.  Go to the original which is on the middle of the Ile Saint-Louis.  It has wooden paneling on the outside of the store.)

    Opera Garnier

    L’arc de triomphe

    Champs-Elysees

    Sacré Coeur

    Notre Dame

    Sainte-Chapelle

    Conciergerie

L’Obélisque in Place de la Concorde

    Luxembourg Gardens

Versailles (It takes an hour to get out there, an hour to get back.  I would plan at least 6 hours but this is a MUST see.)

Believe it or not, this is all do able in 4 days.  It will be a little fast paced, but totally worth it.  You can see what there is to see in Paris.

  2. walk around. get lost.

  3. I would suggest a visit to the Louvre.  You will need several hours there, but it is well worth it.  You may be able to get your hotel to arrange an advance ticket so that you can avoid the lines.

I also recommend taking one of the night boat trips down the Seine.

Notre Dame Cathedral is a must-see.

A day trip to Montmarte is wonderful.

I can also recommend a restaurant near Notre Dame.  It is called Nos Ancetres Les Gaulois.  Everyone we have recommended it to has loved it.  It is small, so reservations is probably a good idea.  The restaurant has a website at www.nosancetreslesgaulois.com.

  4. Well you'll want to see the louvre, the arc du triompe, champs-elysses, notre dame, sacre coeur and other areas. So I would make the most of your 4 days and start early and end late. Hope you have a good time.

  5. If you do plan to see some of the most popular places, you should look into getting a 2 or 3-day museum pass.  It is cheaper especially if you plan to see more than just 2 or 3 places.  Do pay attention as to what days they are closed, though and plan accordingly.  If you are out and about on a sunny day, Saint Chapelle is a must.  :)  The catacombs are also fascinating - something a little out of the ordinary.  Last but not least, find a cafe on a busy corner and people watch with the locals - a must!

  6. Plenty. I would buy a 2 or 4 day museum pass. Its cheaper, includes lots of attractions not just museums and you bypass the lineups. I was there for 5 days in May and I saw quite a bit. My favorites were:

    Musee D'Orsay

    Louvre

    Sacre Coure

    L'Orangerie

    Jurden du Tuillieries(huge beautiful park)

Champs Elysee (street full of shops and restuarants)

    Arc du Triomphe

    Eiffle Tower

    Notre Dome

    Seine River Cruise at night

go to www.frommers.com. it helped me alot with planning my trip. It lists all the attractions with the cost, hours open, nearest metro, if it covers under the museum pass, and a brief description.
