What to do in the 9th arondisment of Paris????

  1. There is the Boulevard Haussmann with its famous department stores Galeries Lafayette and Printemps, and the red light district of World War II fame, the Pigalle (called "Pig Alley" by the GIs) , and the famous Moulin Rouge.

    The way you've asked the question makes me wonder if you realize that Paris is really quite compact and that there's no particular reason for confining yourself to a single arrondissment.


  2. there is also the opera house (opera garnier), the grevin wax museum, the musee de la vie romantique, cool old churches. and as said above all the other arrondissements around it are just a stone's throw away. you don't have to stay in the 9th arrondissement. from the 9th you can easily walk to montmartre (sacre-coeur), the louvre or the champs elysees. anything further is accessible by the metro.
