  1. 1. Stay near St George, the old capital. It's the most historic part of the island. I loved walking down those narrow streets. Try to find a guided tour.

I stayed in  the Grotto Bay Beach Resort  which was awesome. Only 10 min from St George.  The view from the hotel window is amazing, might be the best in Bermuda.

I wouldn't recommend coming to Bermuda on a Cruise.

    2. Explore the entire island it's  only 30 miles long. Take the ferry from the old capital St George to the Naval Docks and to the new capital Hamilton. Try the bus too if you are brave. You'll know what I am talking about after you ride on one.

If you are really a risk taker rent a scooter but remember they drive on the opposite side of street there.

Check out some of the old churches.

Turtle bay beach is very nice. It has a bar and a little cafe right on the beach. It's a local hangout. On Sundays they have a DJ there till about 7 or 8pm

If you want to save money and mingle with the locals there is a supper market on main street in St George that has buffet style food. The food there is better than in most restaurants in the US. You can get your lunch there and eat it out side on a park bench right  near the super market. The little park there is one of the most beautiful that I've seen.

  2. There's a great restaurant there called the Swizzle Inn.  The swizzle rum drinks are really delicious but VERY potent so be careful.  Food is great but very expensive.  http://www.swizzleinn.com/  Their motto is, "Swizzle in, swagger out!"  haha They aren't kidding.

After you finish lunch there go across the street to the ice cream shop.  Mmmmmm great way to finish off the meal.

Also downtown there is the Bermuda Perfumery.  Definitely go there.  They make the perfume right there and for $25 you can buy the perfume sampler.  Great deal.

Also, go to the Crystal Caves in Hamilton

    This was amazing!

We bought bus passes and then just jumped on and off when we wanted.  Cheap and really easy to get around in Bermuda.

Anywhere is beautiful in Bermuda.  I think the best way is to take a cruise there because everything is very expensive.  That way you'd have your room, food, entertainment (all if you want to use it and included) and then you could still come and go as you please.  Take a cruise that spends 1/2 the time in Hamilton and the other in St. George.  From there you can take the bus and do the island thoroughly.
