ok well i'm 15 and i just started homeschooling a year and a half ago. i rodeo all the time and that was a major reason for homeschooling. Right now i don't have any rodeos and i am extremely bored with my life right now. I don't know what to do. i read, play video games, hang out with my friends, practice all of the time, but i am still bored. Any suggestions on what i should do?

  1. Find a new hobby. Pick something you've never tried before, maybe even something you don't know a lot about, then read about it and if you are interested, try it. Fencing is great, and may be good cross training for you since it builds leg strength, balance, and reflexes. It certainly doesn't sound like your social life is lacking, so don't worry about that. Just find something new to get excited about for a while.

  2. yes!  get involved in your community!  there are many opportunities, volunteer to work at the food bank, soup kitchen, animal shelter, hospital, nursing home...

there is so much more to broaden your horizons.

If you want to do it in a group, join Circle K or Key Club.  Check with you library, sometimes they have programs for kids they need help with.

Maybe talk to the other riders and the stables, see if they want to start a program for underpriveleged kids, or handicapped( this would require a bigger commitment, but so worth it)

Think about what interests you, working with kids, disabled,  or elderly or the poor, and expand on that.  good luck!

  3. Go back to school....Trust me....It sucks....Being homeschooled....

    You lose all your friends....Everything!

At least for me, lol....But I really dislike it....

    All my best!

  4. well, maybe you should look into volunteer work. This is a great way to fill your time and feel good about yourself.

People always admire someone who does something outside of self interest, and it will increase your appeal in the rodeo circuit, as well as increasing your chances of getting great scholarships and good admissions into college.

  5. watch tv

  6. Find new interests. Take up new activities. Start a club. The world is full of things to do, far more things than anybody could ever do. Explore!
