What to do to keep squirrels out of garden besides drive them in a car?

The squirrels get my tomatoes and peppers. How can i keep them away from my vegetables?

Moth balls... as long as you don't have any cats that you care about- if cats eat them they can get sick and die...

are you sure it's squirrels?? never really heard of that before, it's not typical.  If you have damage but don't actually see it happen it could be rodents maybe (at night), but most likely birds (in early morning).  Try netting.  You cannot really discourage squirrels short of fencing, like chicken wire fence.  A very long shot may be to put out corn to attract them away from the tomatoes but that could lead to attracting more squirrels.
