What to do when muscles on legs hurt alot after conditioning for football?

my son is 14 yrs old and this is his first year in football so far he's been doing weight lifting and just now this week some conditioning but right after conditioning he gets real painful and stiff and his body legs and arms where shaking on his second day of h**l week, does this mean his not for sports or is it normal to happen and why?

  1. he needs to drink lots of water all the time to keep his body hydrated, he can try taking an ice bath after practice, 5 to 10 minutes should help. some foods also help, try to take in some carbs and protein like some yogurt.  a glass of chocolate milk after a workout helps replenish nutrients and will help repair muscles.  this is completely normal to get this soar.  it shows he is working hard and building muscles. this is the lactic acid in his muscles releasing, it would not be unusual if he gets cramps really bad. over the next few weeks it should get better. try following the above mentioned especially drinking lots of water, at least a gallon and a half a day.
