What to do when no one wants you?

I am thinking of asking my friend who has split up from her boyfriend now,she is bi and has been keen on me before but i am not in love with her but no one else wants me so what to do but make a go of things with her? What do you all think?

What's wrong with being single for the time being?  It's silly to go with a person you don't love just because no one else wants you.  I have had a number of completely undesirable people interested in me, but no one that I am interested in wants me.  So for now I'm single.  I think you HAVE to have a physical attraction in a relationship.  Otherwise we'd all be dating our buddies.

It is possible for two people who are not physically attracted to each other to have a close friendship, there are more ways to find attraction than just physical appearance.

But what I wonder is why would you want to try to start a relationship with her just because "no one else wants" you?  That is not a good basis for a relationship.  Think about if from the other person's point of view, "I'm not in love with you, or even physically attracted to you, but I figure since I know you like me I'd give you a shot."  If you were that person, how would you feel?

Why not go out and try to find someone you are more compatible with and who does want you?  Or, why not be alone for a while and become a little more comfortable with yourself rather than starting a shaky relationship with a motivation so precarious that it is likely doomed to end in emotional pain?

Yes there can be a realationship for two people that arne't physically attracted to each other but have a close friendship, you're just going to have to redefine the meaning of relationship in those terms rather than hoping for it to turn into something more. Believe it or not, there are actually people who are quite happily married and enjoy each other's company yet never have s*x.

i definitely don't think it's a good idea to get into a relationship with someone just because they used to like you, regardless of how you feel about them.  i have only had one girlfriend, and it wasn't the best circumstances for a relationship for either of us and it went downhill pretty quick.  the circumstances you have, definitely NOT GOOD! don't start something with someone if you have no physical attraction towards them...it has about a 90% chance of going very poorly.  friendship, and dating are entirely different things.  friendship is a good basis for a relationship, but there has to be some kind of spark before you just jump into a relationship with someone.

i know it sucks big time to be single when all you want is a girlfriend, but it will suck more to get into a bad relationship.  just wait for someone who wants you that you want back, that makes it magical, and that makes it work.
