I painted my bathroom and when I took the tape off I realized that some of the paint leaked under the tape onto the wood framing. What is the best way to get this off and not ruin the wood or paint job?

  1. If it is latex paint, get a product called "goof off"

If it is oil paint, get a dry soap pad and gently rub the offending paint off. The sooner the better.

  2. You will need to scrape it of an touch up the surface if you damage it.

The secret is in applying your paint.

As a painter I can tell you most would be painters will their first strokes with the first strokes with a fully ladened brush.

Brush some of the pait out, rub your thumb down the tape and then cut in.
