What to do when parents let you down?

i live with my dad and step mom and have forever i dont see my real mom but i do talk to her on the computer sometimes and she will tell me that she will send me things anf alot of the times io dont get it and it really hurts when she lies to me i just wish if she didnt want to send me stuff she would just say so and not have me lookin for it,does any body else go through this how do you deal with it?

I am so sorry you have to go through this with your mom.  It is hard to be let down by anyone, but being let down by a parent is inexcusable.  You can't change your mom and even though she acts immature, it is important to be a part of her life.  She must have issues going on in her life that prevent her from being a stable part of your life.  Just try to find the stability you need from within yourself and the more responsible adults in your life and try to forgive your mom.  She is probably doing the best she can, even though it lets you down.  Good luck.

Your mum shouldnt off load all this emotional baggage on you.

What does your Dad say?

Is there a way you can talk to your Mum about how this makes you un-happy maybe with someone else there with you.

Maybe your mum needs to be told you love her but you will not put up with this S**t anymore DONT let your mum emotionally blackmail you.
