What to do when someone hits ur car?

Someone hit didnt quite make the stop sign and hit the back of my car today. For some reason the front is leaking. What are the steps I should take after a car accident?

exchange insurance info, drivers license info, phone number

take pictures of where the person hit your car

call your insurance company and explain your situation to them

they will usually tell you the steps on what to do in your situation

always file a police report, i dont know the law in canada but in the states leaving the scene of an accident is a felony and without police involvement you might be on your own.

if you didnt make a police report you probably wont have any luck with insurance.

get your car to a shop soon, as some cars can be prone to frame bending, etc. the safety of your vehicle may have been compromised no matter how slow they were going.

just be careful from here on it with that car.

You should first get the drivers information...(such as license, insurance information) and then call the police.  Make sure to tell the cops the full details. Also tell your insurance the cause of the leak was the accident
