  1. More than likely the problem is the tire is out of balance. If if has never  been preformed, have a shop do a rotate and balance.  Also 1 tire or all may need to be replaced.   It is passable is it a alignment issue but NOT likely.  In the end it will be best to take it to your mech.

How this happens is wear starts to take place or a rock is hung in the tread making the tire not balanced.  When the tire is rotating at that rate of speed the unbalanced part of the wheel/tire is more pronounced making the vibration go up the steering column, in to your hands.

To prevent this from happening again the first step is to make sure you have the right amount of pressure in your tire and have your tires periodically rotated.  A gage can be bought at a part store or walmart for about 1 buck.

Final thought:  98% chance the vibration in your steering wheel is coming from your tires due to being un balanced.

  2. Get your tracking sorted out.

Go to a garage and they will add weights to your wheels that are out.

    It helps a lot.

  3. sit on it and enjoy the ride.

  4. This exact thing happened to me.  It was the alignment.

  5. I have to agree It's the alignment don't wait too long or you'll end up paying for something more costly!

    Varoom!!

  6. It's almost certainly the front alignment.

  7. probably needs front end alignment

  8. yes you deff need an alignment..

if it was vibrating when you were breaking then you would need your roaters turned or replaced...

but it just sounds like you need an alignment.. it should be around 75 bucks at any tire place.

  9. Have your tires balanced.

  10. 1. Check your tire pressure.

    2. Check your tire balance

    3. Check your tire tread wear pattern

    4. Check the front end alignment

    5. Check the front end suspension, including shocks or struts.

In other words...take it to a certified mechanic.

  11. usually it means a tire is loose.

mine does that too and thats what my dad told me

so he checked the tire and his GF was following behind us and notice that the tire was wobbly

    so yeah

  12. It's the alignment, my Camaro was doing it a few weeks ago.

  13. Yeah go to discount tire if you're getting your wheels realigned, they do a good job and they're really cool about everything. But first you should make sure all your tires are the same pressure because that could be the problem.

  14. then get a new car, duhh dumb azz..l0l

  15. most likely your front end is out of lineand could be also ball joints

  16. sit on it

  17. Alignment sounds correct - yes speak to a garage, for safety ok?

  18. Best case scenario it could be a front tire out of balance.  Worst case bad tie rod or ball joint.

  19. It could be your tie rod ends.  The same thing happened to my car.  My tires wore down very quick inside and out.  I went to get an alignment and they told me its was my tie rod ends.  After i got them replaced the vibrating stopped.  I believe theres two inner tie rods and two outter.
