What to do when you are bored?

Its summer... aaaaaand, their isnt much to do, unless you want to face the relentless heat outside. What are some good things people can do that require very little money? Also, things for small kids too.

And no video games! Im so tired of video games!!!! DX

READ - - - books will take you all over Earth and out into the Universe!!!!    Get a Word Book, not simply a Dictionary but a book that explains Word Origins and challenege your children - - - 'here is the strory of  the word - - - - ';;;   you can also use word definition books to create games, 'use the word wh6remonger in a sentence,' 'if I have a odometer what can I do with it?'  

Give a gaggle of children (four or more) a book and tell them to create a one act play enacting the story within.

Public libraries are fun sometimes. Ours has free story times and activities scheduled. They also have some toys, puzzles, educational computer games that you or the kids can play on the library's computers. The kids love to pick out books to borrow for a few weeks.

The art museum in our city has free admission on Sat mornings. Maybe there are museums in your area that offer free or discounted admission sometimes.

Turn on the radio full blast and dance all around the house, you can even clean your room or your whole house while listening to some good music.  Time goes by really fast and before you know it, your house will be very clean and you will have gotten a great workout!
