What to do when your mother's driving you up the wall with accusations?

Me and my mum have a really, really good relationship, and generally I can talk to her about anything. It's just recently she's been being deliberately irritating and accusing me of stuff. She does that thing that only mothers can truly perfect, like doctor prescription handwriting, that TONE that says "I'm actually not sure whether I'm right or not so I'm going to treat it as a joke and see how you react".

The main one is that she keeps accusing me of s******g/giving oral s*x to one of my guy mates in his car when we meet up. Me and the guy are just friends. I can take a joke, but it's gotten to the point where she starts and it's just a broken record, and I have to tell her yet again that no, I don't go out to his car to give him a BJ, I go out there to chat to him.

She adopts the same tone when teasing me about how much I eat. I want to lose weight, so I've been eating less and cutting out snacks etc., in other words doing it the healthy way. My mother's chosen to interpret my eating less as a sign of anorexia, and if I go to the bathroom after dinner I'll come downstairs and she'll ask me if I "got everything out alright", thereby accusing me of bulimia too.

I really don't know what to do, because I love her to bits and I'm fed of being angry and letting her wind me up, but she does it so well!

  1. ignore her, don't say anything when she accuses injustly. and when you come out of the car, or out from the toilet just wipe your mouth, and ask her if there is still sperm or food on your face!!! that should cool her off

  2. just tell her, talk to her about it and tell her how she is making you feel, invite your friends in 4 a chat and let your mum c and get to know them.
