Question:

What to do with Harang, Verlander, Sabathia?

These 3 guys are supposed to be 3 of the best pitchers in baseball. I thought I was lucky when I drafted all 3 of them. Little did I know that 1/3 of the way through the season, all 3 of them would be sucking big time! Should I hold onto these guys and be patient with them or should I go ahead and drop them or try to trade them?

  1. Obviosuly you don't drop them and I would not trade them either.

I'm not really worried about Harang and CC because there aren't any problems with them. they're just struggling. it happens to the best of them.

Verlander though i am concerned because he changed his pitching style. I don't think he can go back to the Verlander of old.

Keep Harang and CC and use them through thick and thin. Verlander you might want to shop

  2. I would definately keep CC and Harang.  If nothing else they still each strike out a ton of batters.  Plus right now Harang has the 2nd worst run support during his starts in the entire National League.  Things will get better with Harang.  And CC is a Cy Young winner, he will bounce back.  Shop Verlander, something just doesn't seem right with him this year.

  3. Hold on to Sabathia, because he can actually get you some strikeouts. Harang is doing pretty well this year, except for today and isn't winning a lot this season. And with Verlander, just drop him. He hasn't been doing well at all this season and by the looks of things, won't turn it around anytime soon. He might even be demoted to AAA.

  4. CC isn't really struggling, he has been pitching very well the last month. The reason for his winless record is because his team gives him NO runs support at all. Either way, dun drop CC, he gives u Ks despite fewer wins.

  5. I am in the same boat.  I am about to throw Verlander off the ship.  His last outing was not half bad.  I would wait two more starts and see if he is turning it around, if not, get rid of him.  I may just drop him because no one will trade for him right now. You have a better chance getting a young waiver wire pitcher like jonathan sanchez or gavin floyd, than some c**p people would offer you for Verlander. .

I would keep CC, no question.

Harang goes through slumps like this, when he is on he is a top fantasy pitcher but the problem is he is off more than he is on.  I would keep him and start him when the match-up is right.
