What to do with a Quince tree that's half dead?

I have a quince tree in my yard and half of it is dead a dry but the other half still grows, and bears fruits. Should I saw off the dead part?

I would trim it up.  If the tree is still rather small, you can train it to grow over a bit to cover up the dead portions or graft a new branch or two in to replace the dead ones.
