  1. I agree... keep him entertained... and set up lots of play dates. try to get him together with the friend he made at the lifestyle block. Sounds like they are good buddies. Maybe if you can afford it and think it through, another dog is in the future?

  2. I am not sure if he is still sad or what not but this is normal. I bet he really loved that other dog he was with.

Try bringing him on a playdate with that dog or to the local dog park.

  3. Just give him lots of attention, take him for walks, give him toys.  No matter how old he is or what breed he is, training him to do something is generally very good for a dogs mental/emotional health. Just don't baby him more than usual to try to make him feel better. He'll just learn bad habits.... Sooner or later he'll adjust.

  4. keep with it! just be there for him, he sounds like he became attached to the other dog, maybe he needs more interaction with other dogs, or maybe he needs company

  5. Sounds like he needs to be with you. Make it work if you can. He deserves to feel happy and safe, as does every living being.
