My partner & I are having a disagreement. After you use a kitchen/dish sponge, do you... (after it's been rinsed clean)

A) Leave it full of water?

or

B) Squeeze out as much of the water as you possibly can?

Please help end this bitter feud!!

  1. Squeeze out the liquid, and put in the dishwasher every time you run it.  It will keep it fresh smelling and germ free

  2. 1. Squeeze it out as dry as you can.

    2. If it gets a little smelly, put it in a bowl of water and microwave it for 5 minutes to disinfect it.

    3. When it's past it's 'DISH' sponge days, cut a corner off of it so that you can tell it apart from the new dish sponge. Use it to clean the sink or in the bathroom.

  3. Squeeze out all the water that you can.  Also when I start the dishwasher at night I toss my sponges in there to get cleaned with the super hot water.  It keeps them from getting stinky and infested with bacteria.

  4. Squeeze out as much water as possible and leave it to dry.  Once a week I throw it in the wash with the light load and let it air dry.

  5. Squeeze out as much of teh water as you possibly can

  6. Both are good answers if you meant A to be leaving it swimming in a dish of soapy water.  But, leaving it soaked will make it deteriorate much faster.  So, it is better to squeeze it out and let air dry.  Then once a day, throw it in the microwave for 45 seconds to prevent fungus/mold growth.

  7. squeeze out the water. then put it in the dishwasher to remove some more germs

  8. A : rinse in bleach to kill bacteria

    B; Squeeze

    C: let air dry:

    D: put it away

  9. B. Get all of the water out or it's going to get moldy and smell like a bacterial breeding ground.

  10. B

  11. A. Saturate a sponge with water then put in a microwave for thirty seconds to sanitize, Note: Caution sponge will be steaming hot when you remove from the microwave, allow to cool some then squeeze out as much water as possible and allow to dry where sponge can dry completely with plenty of airation such as in an empty dishdrainer before next use, germs can not grow in a sponge that is fully dry between uses

Cloths should be rinsed in hottest water and wrung out until almost dry not soaking wet or very moist, you can spray the cloth instead with undiluted White Vinegar and allow to dry do not rinse cloth Good Luck !
