Hey

At the moment I'm looking after my parents freshwater fish tank with two angelfish in, however have noticed this evening the smaller of the two angelfish is being incredibly aggressive to all the other fish in the tank is has bitten a fair few. What should I do with the angelfish?

Thanks.

  1. Buy him a pet Guppy.

  2. Angelfish are an aggressive breed of fish naturally. Usually they pick fights with fish but end up getting hurt when fought back at because they are danty and thin. Best thing is to put him in a separate tank (only if it's also filtered w/ air). If not then there's not alot you can do unless it's because the tank is too croweded and needs a bigger one for them all.

  3. It's being a normal angelfish. Despite their looks they are not a well behaved community fish, they are a predatory cichlid, and as they mature their true nature comes out.

Not much you can do about it except seperate the fish.
