Broken glass, I have no idea what to do with it! There is no recycle service where I live so my glass here is not picked up. I have seen some people make glass pile's but I feel there has to be a better way to rid of my glass. I have a 5 gallon bucket full now. What can I do???

  3. Depends on what kind of glass it is.

If you are talking about glass containers like beer bottles, then take them to the bottle depot.   They probably won't give you your deposit for them, but they will probably take them.

If you are talking about glass containers like "mason jars", or flat glass like a house window, then there are probably no recycling facilities that will take them.  The reason is that there are different types of glass.  Also the glass might have different adhesives, tinting agents, colorants, paint, sealant,  etc on it.  That makes it very difficult to sort out, clean, and turn into a usable base to make into new glass products.

Best bet is to dispose of it with your normal household garbage, but make sure you put it in boxes marked "Glass" so that the people who handle your household waste don't get injured.

  4. Unfortunately, there's lots of places that don't pick up glass because they feel that the cost of picking up is not profitable.

    What you can do is

    1) bring the glass with you when visiting a community with a recycling center

    2) or, crush the glass into powder and use it on pathways

    3) or, use it to make art projects such as mosaic tabletops or paving stones

    4) or avoid buying things in glass as much as possible.

  5. You take them to the bottle bank.

  6. they have a recycling bin at land field or dumpsters just for glass you could take it there

  7. take it to your local recycling plant/ waste management centre, there they will use te glass in recycling- Fact one broken glass bottle can- power a light bulb for 48 hours

  8. Take it to a recycle centre, there are plenty about
