Question:

What to do with broken nose?

During playing catch in a pre-game for softball I got hit in the nose with a ball. Hard. Blood was gushing out forming two huge puddles to the left of the left field foul line and a nose so swollen stretching the skin it pointed profoundly upwards. My assistant coach took me to the emergency room where a doctor told me they no longer did x-rays with uncertainty and such a short time prior to the injury. Now, a month or so later, I'm still having problems. When i stretch the skin between my upper lip and bottom of nose, where mustaches would grow:p, the left part of the bridge of my nose sticks out making a bump and it feels like there's a bone chipped in the middle. I have hard times breathing out of my nostrils, usually alternating between each one and I sneeze like crazy. I know the best thing to do would be to get it rebroken at the doctor but the price is so high and money so low. Would it be necessary? And if it was, what is the process of rebreaking a nose?

  1. Honey, go to the doctor as soon as possible. If you have a broken septum, you could die at basically any moment.

  2. Despite the cost I would get some medical help as what you are suffering should not be allowed to continue for much longer. It is obviously causing you  some distress so you know you have to do something but don't leave it too long. Good luck
