  1. Fried rice, porridge, rice salad, steam the rice with

some sliced ginger(a 1/4 inch sliced **make strips as small as a piece of lead for a pencil) (Ok if it is not small enough) for aroma,

sliced and soaked shittake mushrooms (about 12 medium),

    and marinated chicken(2 or 3 chicken b*****s)

Serves about 14 bowls( small bowls like ones in restaurants)

    it is really tasty.

  2. I always do this with chinese leftover rice....

You can keep the rice in the fridge quite a while before doing this too - if it dries out add a bit of water in the pan

Ok its an omelet for breakfast or supper and an old family favourite.

    For two people:

Chop up and cook 3 or 4 rashers of bacon

When the bacon is almost done add in an amount to equal the bacon in chopped onion and cook that- the onion shrinks a little.

Drain or spoon off most of the fat.

Add a cup or two of rice - you want lots of bacon and onion in it.  Stir around so the rice gets the rest of the fat.

Mix up 4 or 5 eggs with a bit of milk.

Heat your pan and pour a layer of egg- top with rice, fold over add more egg if you want and cook til done.

This is a great flavour combination and a complete meal.

It also reheats really well in the microwave.

  3. add vanilla extract to it and heat it up in the microwave or fry it

  4. I think you got all the answers

but don't forget meat loaf meat balls

    fix and freeze

    ??

  5. You can turn it into fried rice.

  6. Make fried rice. Here's one idea for you.

    EASY FRIED RICE

    3 c. rice, cooked

    4 slices bacon, cut up

    3 eggs, beaten

    1 lg. onion, cut up

1 sm. pkg. frozen peas, thawed

Cooking oil (sesame oil gives a real good flavor)

    Soy sauce to taste

In a wok or large frypan, heat oil. Add bacon and cook until almost crisp. Add onion and cook until tender. Push to the side and pour in eggs. Cook until set. Break up eggs and mix with bacon and onion. Add rice and peas and toss to mix. Add soy sauce to taste. Cook until heated through, tossing as you do.

This is great as a side dish or you can add meat and vegetables for a main dish.

  7. If its plain rice try a rice pudding

    2 c. cooked rice

    1/2 c. sugar

    2 eggs, slightly beaten

    2 c. milk

    1/2 tsp. vanilla

combine then pour into a buttered baking dish and bake 30 mins at 350

  8. Fried rice is the best thing for left over white rice, but since you ate chinese last night make rice pudding out of it

    Ingredients

2 1/2 cups (600 ml) of whole milk

1/3 cup (66 grams) of long or short grain white rice

    1/8 teaspoon salt

    1 egg

1/4 cup (50 grams) dark brown sugar

1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract

    1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

    1/3 cup (40 grams) raisins

    Method

1 In a medium heavy bottomed saucepan, combine milk, rice and salt and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer until the rice is tender, about 20 minutes. Stir frequently to prevent the rice from sticking to the bottom of the pan.

2 In a small mixing bowl, whisk together egg and brown sugar until well mixed. Add a half cup of the rice mixture - a tablespoon at a time - beating to incorporate.

3 Add egg mixture back into the saucepan of rice and milk and stir, on low heat, for 10 minutes or so, until thickened. Be careful not to have the mixture come to a boil at this point. Stir in the vanilla. Remove from heat and stir in the raisins and cinnamon.

    Serve warm or cold.

this says to use raw, rice, use the cooked and just skip 20 mins of cooking and just warm up the milk/rice

  9. I usually make a really simple rice pudding.

Pour milk over rice so it's covered by about 1 or 1 1/2 inches.  Add 1/3 cup sugar (more if you have a lot of rice or if you just like it sweeter).

    Bring to a boil.

Simmer 30 minutes or so, until milk is absorbed.  Stir frequently.

Remove from heat and add 1 tsp vanilla.

Serve warm, plain or with cinnamon.  Or you can put it in a big glass bowl and refrigerate.  Cover with plastic wrap immediately to avoid getting a skin on it.

  10. Fried rice and rice pudding are my favorite ways to use leftover rice.  Or just serve it as a side dish with chicken or pork chops for dinner.  Rice will keep for up to 5 days in the fridge.

  11. Fridge it!

Then take it out in the morning and dump it in a bowl and warm it up with sugar and butter as breakfast!

  12. yes, fried rice... so you can have something different tomorrow...

  13. Fried rice, with egg, onion & veggies.

Rice pudding, with egg, milk, & raisins.

Chicken & rice soup, with chicken stock & veggies.

Spanish rice, with tomatoes, onion, celery, spices.
