yesterday i let my dog out becuase he wasn't felling well and wasn't out for a while and i was watering flowers and he came over walking like he would fall over and he was drinking water for like 5 minutes and so then i went to dring him in and he was near my pool where there was water on the side and just sitting in the water and so i tried to bring him in but i couldn't he would jsut sit there and its quiet hard to bring in a 120 pound dog in the house so i would bring food and water for him becuase he wasn't getting up and then i went in and he was near the door but not really close like maybe 4 feet away and i would take him by the collar and try to lifthim but still he would just lay there and he would always breath hard in the house and his breathing got better now that he was outside for 4 hours so i thoguht he wanted fresh air so it got to 11 pm and he still doun't come in so i brought some blankets to put on him and put under his head and he was fine then in the moring he was in the shade so he moved and so i was washing these boots off and he got up and was walking better (seemed like he could walk better now that he was outside for so long..) and then he just layed down again and still hes outsdie and i don't want to put him down because he still eats and drinks and can walk around and i can't pick him up to go to the vet again becuase hes 120 pounds so i called and they said they would bring a guy over if i wanted to pick him up and bring him wherever i wanted to bring him but im not so sure i want to yet but my vet is on vacation and so tuesday im bringing him in but i don't want my dog to think im just leaving him out there to die and i have no idea if he wants to just die becuase he sufering becuase he is a very tough dog i don't know.. :(

  1. What is the temperature where you are?  Your dog could be suffering from heat stroke.  You need to get the dog to the vet. No excuse that he weighs 120 lbs. and you cant lift him.  No excuses at all.  You need to get the dog medical help quickly or he may not be around on Tuesday.  You made a commitment to this animal to give him the proper medical care when he needs it and he needs it now.  Get someone to help you if you have to but get the dog to an emergency clinic or vet as soon as possible.

  2. Unless you just want your dog to lie outside and die ALONE call a friend or any one, pick up the dog and take it to a van NOW!! Sounds like heat stroke  to me.
