Upon graduation, my wife is about to enter the workforce for the first time since our son was in pre-school. He will be finishing 1st grade and moving into second grade. The problem is that with both of us working, we are not sure what to do with him during the summer break. We want to fill his time with activities and functions, but are not sure what there is in the Fresno/Clovis CA area. My parents can help with transportation, but are unavailbale to watch him most of the time. Does anybody know of summer day programs we can get him involved with in the area?

  1. summer camp summerschool sports cubscouts or other activitys vacations

  2. In our area we have church camps, park district has activities, and we have day cares that to things with the older kids (take them to the public pool)

  3. I'd check with the school district. Most districts have after and before school child care programs that in the summer turn into full day programs.

If you don't want him in something like that you could sign him up for a lot of vacation bible school classes. Most churches offer at least a week of half-day classes. They don't mind if you are not members. You could probably find one for almost every week if you look around. Other option are community parks and recreation classes and camps.

  4. Here is a site you might want to look at you may want to look into YMCA or recreation centers to see what they have.
