What to do with my turtles?

Question

i have three turtles that i have had for six years

and now im moving and cant keep them, what should i do with them. i dont want to release them into the wild because they arent exactly wild animals, they're sorta domesticated. does anyone have any ideas of what i could do with them.

any suggestions will help

Try craigslist.com. You can't put live animals up on eBay. Rescues are good too.

Put an ad in your local newspaper, you could possibly sell them or just find a good home for them. You could also put up a flier in a pet store for them or even see if the pet store will take them.

You could give them to a reputable zoo or rescue centre for turtles. People there would have the expertise to care for them.

i will gladly take them me and my wife have ran a tortoise and turtle refuge  where we keep and breed injured unwanted abonded neglected and bought turts and torts...we have never lost a turt to death or for the fact of the matter one has never been sick . we now care for 50+ turts and torts and have over 20 species...so please if you want them to have a good home please sir send them to us!!!! we also put some of them up for adoption after a while so we also mite be able to find them a loving caring home after there atleast 3 month required waiting time here with us on our ranch!

what kind of turtles are they, that would have a great effect on what you need to do with them, also, what area of the country do you live in and where are you moving to?

you could give them to a close friend or family member, just make sure that they would take really good care of the turtles. you need to give them to someone you can trust to take care of them on a daily basis. if you cant find anyone post them on craigslist and find someone nice that could take them in.

You could try an ad in the paper, or maybe ebay?, or you could ask a pet store near you for some help.  My daughter wants a turtle and I would like to give her one if I can find one in the wild that's still young, but she saw one at the pet store, it was some sort of african tortois and it was $250.00. So I guess it depends on which kind you have as to how much they are worth, but hopefully you can find someone who will take good care of them, and they will be happy.
