Okay, So I boat a home and it had a crappy old boat with weeds and trees growing in it. Totally not worth trying to fix up. I have had people come look at it but nobody wants it. Its taking up space and i need to get rid of it. I have the title and trailor title. Do you know anywhere that will take it. Or something I could do with it.

  1. Chainsaw for the boat.

    Torch for the trailer

    Dumpster for both....

Follow the regulations for disposing of a fuel tank.

  2. Too many to choose from...

So, please - google "charity boat donations" pick a good one (there are hundreds of them). For sure, one or more of them will come and get the boat.

    Happy & Safe Boating!

  3. That depends on where you live.

  4. Check with your local car racing tracks. Why? When I was in Washington state, I had to search for a long time for junk boats for the periodic boat races. What we did was chain the boat behind our race cars and race the figure eight. We would use our race cars (extreme contact figure eight / thunder cars) to try and destroy other boats while trying to protect our own. Or we would try to seperate other boats from other racers. Once a racer lost their boat, they were out of the race. The last race car towing an object that looked like a boat won to boat race. The track got rid of the boats after the race.

Another option is to move the boat to a location that can be seen from the road. Place a huge FREE sign on it.

A possible method of getting rid of the boat/trailer would be to answer one or more of those adds in newspapers that say that they take junk cars and see if they come and take boats for recycling.

Last but not least, follow the other guys answer using chainsaw and torch. The metal can be recycled for cash (capable of replenishing the beer fridge).

  5. In my area, maryland, the local government is in charge of waste management.  We can take the boat to a landfill, but you have to remove the gas tank and tires. they crush it to bits. Call them in your area.   Good luck.
