What to do with old board games?

I have been going through our game closet and found we have many games there that our family never plays with anymore. Is there a certain place or organisation where we can donate them? All of them are good condition and it would be a shame to leave them sitting in the closet gathering dust. Thank you!

  1. donate them to TOYS FOR TOTS.

that way your sure they get to a family with kids to enjoy them.

    :]

  2. Try the salvation army or just your local thrift shop..They always love donations..

    HTH

  3. Salvation Army

  4. I agree with the donate them to a charity like the Salvation Army, another weird idea is to play them just once more before you give them away. You might change your mind.

  5. A hospital or even something like St. Jude's Children's center....where they take care of sick children..  OR,  if you have something like we have in our city. . . . a residential school for hard to handle children.... board games are very calming and can work WONDERS in the therapy for this type of children.

  6. donate them to a salvation army or a thrift store. children will enjoy getting these for christmas/holidays

  7. I think , the main point is to donate them to whom it does not matter, goodwell, salvation army.churches.because in giving donations your are dealing with God.and only God who will credit you for your donations. So do not hesitate.

  8. Another thing you could try is have a look on ebay and if they are games that are rare and sell well, maybe you could make a bit that way, and still help the needy by donating the proceeds of the sale.  Nice of you to think of donating them rather than just throwing them out or leaving them in the cupboard where noone can use them.

  9. toys for tots.

  10. Depending on the games and the shape they are in ..you might want to try selling them on ebay. Some games (like an old game called Hero Quest) are very collectible. You can make alot of money. That or you could call your local human services and see if there are any boys or girls homes in your area that you could donate them to ..i know alot of those kids in those homes dont have much ..it would be nice
