What to do with old spectacle cases?

Question

We're collecting people's old spectacles for a charity called Vision Aid Overseas, who can reuse them for people in developing countries.

However, they don't want the cases, so we'll be stuck with a couple of hundred of those. It seems a shame just to throw them out. Does anybody have any (useful and clean ) suggestions as to what we can do with them?

Sell them on eBay...

Decorate them and sell them or give them away as pencil cases, small jewellery boxes or gift boxes for watches, necklaces etc.

You could ask Lions Club. Otherwise post on Freecycle, Craigslist, or just recycle them.
