I have a small ( 150 gallon) pond in my yard, and I have the following plants in it: Lizard's Tail, Iris, Bloody Dock, Pickerel, and Water Violet. My question is: What do I do with the plants in the winter? I know that decaying plants are bad for the fish,so can I cut them back and plant them in the ground? I know the iris would be OK,but what about the others?

Thanks in advance.

  1. Leave4 the Iris, they will do fine.

the others, cut out and replant in the yard, or pot, then in summer, replant to the pond. this is what my aunt does, and they do great.
