My fiance and I just found the perfect house to move into when we get married. We've already put the offer down and it looks like were getting it :-)

Problem:

We have two bathrooms, but both of them have the disgusting, yellow bathtub.

Question

How do i ( without getting a new tub) decorate my bathroom without clashing, or accenting this disgusting colored tub!

  1. find a place like re-bath,they come over and re-glaze,refinish your bathtub you can make it a different color.

  2. go for a yellow&white themed bathroom

how ugly could the yellow bathtub be?

  3. You can get shower curtains to try to concel the tub. Something like this: (but not in this color - of course)

Im sure you get the idea. Pick a color combination that you like and that goes with the room and get one of these types of shower curtains and it will greatly minimize the appearance of the yellow tub!

  4. you could decorate the room with duckies ! like little toy duckies by the mirrors, ducky shower curtains and stuff like that?

you could go to these sites (below)

  5. If that's the only thing in the house you can't live with, congratulations, you've chosen well.  You can:

    1) Learn to ignore it until you can afford to change the tub.

    2) Can you cover it with a shower curtain so you only have to look at it when you're actually using it?.

    3) If you can't beat'em, join'em. I once had a bathroom with all green fixtures and tile. I'd take your yellow over that any day. I couldn't afford to do anything about the green so I decided to go with it and got other green-toned things even though I wasn't crazy about the colour. If you get other things in yellows of almost any colour, the tub won't stand out so much. Paint the walls a lighter colour of yellow or a warm cream colour. Get towels the same. Get a tub mat to cover some of the yellow. Get some paint chips and try to find one the same colour as the tub so when you shop for other things for the bathroom, you know what colour you're dealing with.
