Question:

What to do with tuna puree?

I put 2 cans of tuna, 4 dollops of fat-free mayo, 2 stalks of cut-up celery and pepper in the blender until it was a semi-thick consistency where certain flavors are indistinguishable.

I know I made a mess, but is there anything to go with this?

  1. drink it? or feed it to a baby

  2. Feed it to  your cat.

  3. is it too thin to put on bread?  If so, make a tuna casserole with it.

  4. Sounds like it would be nice in a sandwich, Lettuce, cheese tomato. You could make a tuna melt, put it on toast sprinkle with a little curry powder or cayenne pepper, top with cheese and put under the grill. You could put it through some cooked pasta with tomatoes, avocado and whatever else you like. You could use it as a kind of dressing for potato salad. If it is too runny for some of these things you could let it drain in a sieve for a while.

  5. gross, give it to your local nursing home for their puree menu.

  6. First of all, gross. But you have a couple options.

    1) Cut you losses and throw it out

    2) Feed it an animal

    3) Do like the Iron chefs and make ice cream ^^

  7. Maybe if you added it to a homemade Mac & Cheese (with shredded mozzarella or provolone) and used wide noodles, it would taste like a tuna casserole.  I'd still add some fresh chopped herbs, and more minced veggies thugh.....  Maybe it would be ok as a dip with veggies or crackers?

  8. Sounds pretty yucky, only one thing comes to mind, cook a cup of white rice, chop some onions and celery (with a knife!!!), mix the stuff together, season and let cool a bit, sprinkle with grated cheese, and try to eat.

  9. it's pate. slap it on a cracker. you might like it.
