Look in your community for a Cement Plant or Power Plant that uses Tire Derived Fuel.  Tires have more energy in them than the same weight of coal and burning them in a modern plant reduces emissions, saves landfill space, and ultimately benefits everyone.

I've seen them used to make buildings. They were also used in the mix for roads

They also make softer surfaces for kids' playgrounds, at least in the U.S.

Why not look in your phone book for a company which recycles them?

you can use them as edges for flower beds if you bury them upright

or two on top of each other make a nice flower pot

I have also used them to make stairs in gardens

and 5 stacked on top of each other,then filled with concrete made the posts that supported  round concrete tables ,big enough to seat 12 people.

People have also build Earth ships (houses build from waste materials)from tires

In building gardens i have always found many uses for tires,so much so that i have gone to dumps to collect them.

You may be able to return the tires to either a tire retailer or a local recycling facility that accepts tires.

Be sure to confirm that the facility accepts tires for recycling and check for quantity and size limitations.

Some local municipalities will also periodically conduct "tire amnesty days" when any local citizen can bring a limited number of tires to a drop-off site free of charge.

In Massachusetts it is illlegal to throw them away. Bring them to your local transfer station/ recycling center for recycling. They reuse them for all sorts of purposes; from roads to recycling.
