What to do without a camera connector cord?

I have a nikon camera, but i lost the connector cord. is there a way to get the pictures onto my computer without the cord?

  1. Buy a card reader (under $10) and copy all your image files to your computer using your computer skills.  It will help you later find them if you make a new file folder with a name that relates to the subject of your images.


  2. Besides the answers given by others (which are probably better), the cord you would need is probably a generic firewire/usb card, which can be purchased in any electronics store.  But the card reader is probably a better deal - also, many new printers have their own multi-sized card readers.  I have a new HP w/slots fro CF, SD and micro-sd cards - I jst pull the card out of the camera, slide it into one of those slots and and then the card could be read on "my computer" like another drive.

  3. Transfer all the pictures on to the memory card and then stick it in the SD slot on your computer. If you have one, that is.
