  1. FRUIT and drink water..........not gulping water, little sips

  2. We are all assuming an early morning run?

    I will give you two answers:

    training run:  it is not necessary to eat.  If you feel you need something a banana is fine.  What will be important is what you eat afterward.  Get some lean protein.  If you can drink milk - skin milk and cereal is fine.  Peanut butter is great.  If you don't like skin milk try non fat chocolate milk.

    race run:  What you eat the night before is the important meal.  About two/three hours before the race get some easy to digest carbs.  Bananas still a good choice.  Sports drink is ok if you have trained using it and your stomach tolerates it.  Don't eat within an hour of the race start.

  3. I eat a banana about 45 minutes before running and drink a little bit of water. Dont drink so much . And try not to drink atleast 10 minutes before you run because it will cause you to cramp... oh and usually its good to eat pasta the night before (really only if its a race the next day)

  4. banana, peaches, and a toast. lots of  Water dont dehydrate if your running that long.

  5. I don´t know about you, but I´d always like to go running on an empty stomach in the morning.

    But as a coach I always suggest my pupils to eat like 2-3 bananas 1 hour before running, that will guarantee a good start, 'cause carbohydrates are good :)

    All depends on what you´re trying to achieve - but having a carbohydrate drink with you will help you stay fresh and active =)

    Good luck, godspeed!=)

  6. pasta is your friend. eat this the night before and then eat lots of fruit and water before like 30 mins

  7. I would say best not to eat too soon before you go for a run.

  8. I'll usually eat a banana about 20 - 30 minutes before I run. The potassium in the banana helps remove lactic acid build up preventing cramps while you run.

  9. a banana with small sips of water about an hour before

  10. I was gonna say bananas, but it seems like every single other person had that idea too. Bananas are wonder-food!!
