Its about 90some degrees out today and i dont want to make anything hot for my kids to eat. They are 5 years and 16months old. What is something that i can make for dinner for them when its this hot out? I live in an apartment building, with no grill...besides the fact that its far too hot to grill anything, let alone eat anything hot. Please help!!!

(we dont eat salad either- any form, fruit salad, egg salad etc)

  1. why dont u eat salads?!?!? try sandwiches for the younger one u can jaust give him/her the meat and cheese if he/she wont eat a sandwich.

  2. Sometimes I like to just eat breakfast for dinner and have a bowl of cereal, so you could try that. You could make many types of cold dinners...like a pasta salad that is chilled in the fridge before serving. Also, regular sandwiches work too...turkey, peanut butter and jelly, cream cheese and jelly, and so forth. Try searching Google for cold dinner recipes. Be sure to stay hydrated in this heat. It has been unbearable out for the past few days. Take care :)

  3. Why won't you eat salad? I think it's ridiculous that you can't do salad. It's the healthiest way to eat veggies and you can make great sandwiches with tuna, egg, and chicken salads. Plus all of them are great for a hot day...

I guess you can do hotdogs and mac and cheese. Those aren't hot by the time you get them on the table.

  4. what do you mean you don't eat any form of salad?!?!

that's the strangest thing i've heard....

guess your options are pretty limited if you don't eat salads or want to eat anything hot.
