I'm going for a full body massage (5 kids is a stress on your body). My friend said it was very relaxing. She was talking about a glute massage. I'm very reserved, so a little concerned about that.

  1. they will drape you and cover your "crack" (lol dont know a better term for it) when they massage your glutes. if you want you can ask them to skip that section but i wouldnt recommend it because your body will be totally relaxed except for your glutes.

  2. Wow, 5 girls, that must be annoying and pricey.

  3. I saw your question and had to say this!

You are soooo deserving of a good massage, and to be pampered the entire day!

I can so relate to you with all your children, as I had 6 of my own! Lots of work, lots of tears, stress, lots of tension----and now for the good stuff---the hugs and kisses that gets us through all that other stuff!

Never did get the opportunity to have the luxury of getting a massage, but just knowing it was wonderful from you, will be good enough for me!

You just go for it and enjoy!

One time my sister was visiting and was going to take me to this wonderful spa for a massage, can't even remember what happened that I didn't get to go!

When she got back from having one she told me there is several different types you can have! Gentle or not so gentle, and the way she described it, ouch!!! just make sure you know what you are getting ! I would definitely make a call and ask !

Her description of what she received would not be my cup of tea! LOL it was more like torture to me at least of her description, but she gets them occasionally!   One of these days just maybe the opportunity will come again, but will definitely opt for the gentle one!! Let us know how it was and good luck with

    your wonderful pampered day!

    Cheers!

  4. A happy ending.

  5. I have my hand on peoples Sacrums and dig deep into their bottoms to release tissues daily.

    Trust me its just work.

Someone touching you to treat you feels very different from someone touching you with different intentions. Don't feel concerned you'll be fine there is nothing intimate about massage or manual treatment when it is done properly.

  6. They may or may not work there depending on the stress and tension patterns in the body.  The gluteal muscles and hip rotators get tight and can add to low back pain so they are important to work if you have that.

You can tell the person to not work there or anywhere else that you do not want touched.  Massage is all about you and your needs.

Just be up front with the massage therapist.
