I was referred to this person because I can not handle pain and have a few teeth that need to be extracted.. Just would like to know if I should expect anything to happen tomorrow, thanks much everyone.

  1. It depends on how bad your teeth are.  If the oral sergion set up a consult with you... that means he is just going to look.  However, did you see a dentist first?  When I saw my dentist for terrible tooth pain (and it turned out to be a tooth extraction) he had me call an oral sergion the next day and I had an appointment that same day to have the tooth pulled.  If you did not see a dentist, he may need to schedule another apointment with you to do the work as it does take time.  I hope you feel better hun... tooth pain is some of the worst.  Good luck ))hug(( because I know I could have used one when I was in pain.

  2. Well, if it's only a consultation, it will probably be only a half-hour appointment. After he examines your teeth, he will tell you what  needs 'fixin.' He should also tell you what the total costs will be.

However, if this is an emergency, he may do something short term, i.e., a quick fix,  to get you by until you can schedule a longer appointment for a permanent fix. Good Luck!
