Question:

What to expect during drivers test?

by  |  earlier

I'm taking the test in a couple of days and i kind of want to know what to expect. Like, what he/she will make me do, how long is it.

Oh, and for Drivers Ed, does anyone know if it will just be me in the car besides the driver, or will there be other kids in the back too?

If it helps, I live in ND.

Thanks.

  1. well i waited until i was 17 1/2 to worry about all that stuff . i live in california and when you're 17 1/2 you dont have to pay for driving lessons [when they take you out driving] . you can just go into the DMV and get your permit and hold it until your're 18 when you get your license . i passed both my written AND driving test the frist time and i didnt pratice for neither . mwahahaha .

  2. I live in Vancouver (Canada), and my drivers test was 11 years ago, lol

for my test I had to do various turns, back out of and pull into a parking stall, drive through a park zone... the examiner didnt make me parallel park, which surprised me...  I think my test was about 30-40 minutes...

    good luck =)

  3. what i did was circle the block twice and have to back into a spot. ( i lucked out) but theres parallel parking, k- turns, signaling at the right time. its all about using your head and just being smart about it

  4. the driver's test is about 30 minutes long.he/she makes you just drive somewhere and back. where i live they dont make you parallel park. they just make you drive to food city and back. while doing that they make you change lanes to see if you can do that, use blinker and just the normal things you would do.but before you take off you have to take a simple test where they ask you where a certain switch is in the car and you have to point it out!!

for driver's ed i took that this last year in school. you have about 3-5 weeks in the classroom and they test you like your permit test and then after that for the rest of the semester you take turns driving.most of the time you have 2 or3 people in the back and your instructor in the passenger. its not hard at all!!!

  5. :O your 14 and driving !!! where ever your from im moving there lol

oh and dont crash and you will be fine =]

  6. Its easy. They just tell you where to go, and tell you to slow down or "give it gas" every now and then. Parallel parking is the hardest part for some people, but I passed with flying colors.

  7. they will make you drive most likely in the car alone just you and the instructer thats what i did anyway. For drivers ed

But if you are talking about getting your license they will have to do monuverability they teach it in deivers ed its pretty ez

then they have you drive around town to see if you signal proper and turn right not to sharp and not in the other lane you have to stay in your lane of they take points off after that they will tell you if you passed or not and if you dont they will tell you what you did wrong

Mostlieky they are guna fail you on the first time taking the test anyway it dosent matter you are a good driver or not at least in ohio they mostly do that

    good luck

  8. well I live in NY and this is how it goes for me

    you get in

    make sure you buckle up

he'll ask you for your permit (its just the instructor in the car)

you take off, make sure you put your blinker on when turning out

    drive around

    parallel park

    3 point turn

and if you dont s***w up you get you license.  I failed my first time.  I went to take it ata nother area to avoid the instructor I had and wound up with him again to pass the second time

  9. ok, well live in Ohio and i'll tell ya about it here

drivers Ed- Boring as h**l. I went to a classroom with like 8 other kids and sat there for 3 hours for 10 days and listened to some dude talk about common sense.

Road test- Super easy. I just had to drive like around the block a couple of times. I though it was gonna be harder

manueverability- i thought this was kinda hard but a lot of my friends though it was easy. I failed first time but then i practiced for a day and passed next time. not too bad.

    later, ya?
