  1. posture

  2. That really depends on the riding stable where you are goin to take your first lesson.

Some stables like to start with the very basics, like:

    -Brushing/picking hooves

-Different pieces of tack, how to put on a saddle and bridle

    -Leading/Mounting the horse

-Position when you're on the horse(stirrups, how to hold reins)

-Basic walking for you to get accustomed to horse's movements

Some stables may go straight to getting on the horse and working on your position and letting you get accustomed to riding a horse. And possibly work on grooming afterwards, or the next lesson.

Most stables would not have you trot, unless you really insist upon it(mostly because it's a bumpy gait, and it can be sore for both horse and rider). And even then, they'd prefer that you achieve greater confidence on a horse first, and is able to keep your seat and position.

But the most important thing to remember, is just to relax and enjoy yourself. ^_^

  3. For you're first lesson you'll probably learn to...

    -Groom your horse

    -Properly tack up

-How to lead and mount a horse

-Proper posture and position while riding

    -Basic steering

If this is going to be your first lesson you'll most likely only be walking. Good luck and have fun!

  4. If it's European, you'll learn how to use the stirrups and your legs to push yourself up as the horse trots.  If it's Western, you'll probably learn how to hold on to the saddle and reins.

  5. English- how to hold yourself, getting used to the stirrups, how to hold reins, PUT YOUR HEELS DOWN!

Western- same thing. PUT YOUR HEELS DOWN!

if you dont put your heels down, and your horse bucks or rears or runs away, you dont stand a chance.

  6. groom (brush and pick hooves)

    tack up (saddle and bridle)

riding basics (how to hold reins, leg position, use seat, relax, etc....)

    ENJOY!!

    HAVE FUN!!!

  7. i dont  know, but you will have oain on ur thies.
